A Pflugerville teen holds the record for selling the most Girl Scout cookies ever in Central Texas and she held an official "Last Cookie Booth" as she heads off to college.

17-year-old Pflugerville High School senior Marillah King sold more than 7,200 boxes last year and used part of her earnings to create the Sister-to-Sister Camp Program. It provided three need-based camp scholarships for Central Texas Girl Scouts this year.

"I think every girl needs to have an experience of going to camp. It's something that's really important to me," King says. "I loved going to camp when I was little and so I just want to share that experience with everyone."

King's "Last Cookie Booth" event was held last night (2/21) at a Randall's in Austin in the hopes of King meeting her 2020 goal of 10,000 boxes.

King has been a Girl Scout for 12 years and during that time she's sold more than 36,000 boxes of cookies.

She'll be heading to the University of Texas McCombs School of Business in the fall.
