LEANDER, Texas - A woman was killed in a crash in Leander on Saturday morning.
According to the Leander Police Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and FM 2243 around 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a collision involving two vehicles.
A 36-year-old female was killed in the collision.
At this point in their investigation, police officers believe the 46-year old male driver of a Ford SUV
was traveling southbound on Ronald Reagan, when it left the lane of travel and struck another
Ford SUV, operated by a 36-year old female, which was traveling eastbound on F.M. 2243.
The male driver of the Ford SUV was transported to St. David's Round Rock hospital for treatment. Currently, the extent of the male driver's injuries are unknown.
At this time, no charges have been filed on the 46-year old male driver of the Ford SUV but the investigation is still ongoing. The names of the involved parties will not be released until their families can be properly notified of the incident.
