Over 100 firefighters respond to San Antonio fire
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Fire crews in San Antonio are responding to a fire that has erupted at a business south of downtown on Friday morning, according to KSAT.
The fire was reported around 10 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Flores Street. There were about 27 fire units and more than 100 firefighters on the scene battling the flames. Smoke from the fire is visible for miles, according to KSAT.
According to San Antonio Fire Department spokesperson Joe Arrington, the fire had started outside and spread to two nearby buildings. One of the buildings was consumed by flames and firefighters were forced to take defensive positions, reports KSAT.

Businesses neighboring the fire were evacuated as the flames moved from the first building to the second.
Firefighters were still taking an offensive approach and trying to salvage that second building.
Fire crews are expected to be on the scene until mid-afternoon. Arson investigators will then work to determine a cause for the fire.
