Overturned truck closes northbound I-35 for a few hours
No injuries were reported in this crash, according to the Round Rock Fire Department.
ROUND ROCK, Texas - An overturned truck is causing major traffic issues on I-35 this morning.
The rollover crash happened on northbound I-35, near Old Settlers Boulevard. The highway is expected to be closed for some time between Highway 79 and University Boulevard as emergency personnel work to remove the overturned truck, according to the Round Rock Police Department.
A concrete highway barrier is also in the roadway, according to RRPD.
The Texas Department of Transportation is taking over the closure.
No injuries were reported in this crash, according to the Round Rock Fire Department. Two people were inside the semi-truck at the time of the crash, one driving and one in the sleeper, but they were both able to make it out safely.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and to use alternate routes.
