Pedestrian hit, killed by driver in Downtown Austin

AUSTIN, Texas - A pedestrian died Tuesday morning after being hit by a driver in Downtown Austin.

It happened just after 8 a.m. on North Lamar between 11th and 12th Streets.

The road was closed in both directions while police investigated, but the road has since reopened.
