Pflugerville Recreation Center shut down after reports of shooting
The Pflugerville Recreation Center was shut down after reports of a shooting in the area.
According to the Pflugerville Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Botany Bay in the Cambridge Estates subdivision shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
According to witnesses, multiple shots were fired from two males shooting at each other. Three males were seen jumping into a red Camaro while a fourth male got into a Hyundai Sedan.
The Hyundai Sedan reportedly chased after the red Camaro. The men in the red Camaro drove to the Pflugerville Recreation Center on Immanuel Road for assistance. Police officers briefly closed Immanuel Road from Dove Haven to Gatlinburg due to the ongoing investigation.
According to police, two people were shot and transported to local hospitals.
It is unclear at this time how serious their injuries may be.
According to the City of Pflugerville's official Twitter, all of today's classes have been canceled and the recreation center will be closed for the remainder of the day.
