Plane crashes into home in Georgetown
The NTSB and FAA are investigating why a plane hit a home in Georgetown Sunday.
GEORGETOWN, Texas - The NTSB and FAA are investigating after a plane crashed into a home in Georgetown.
The Georgetown Police Department posted on its Facebook page that the small plane crashed into the roof of the home in the 500 block of Northwood Drive at around noon.
The home is located about a couple miles from the Georgetown Executive Airport by car.

Plane crashes into vacant Georgetown home
A plane crashed into a vacant house in Georgetown Sunday; the pilot and two passengers walked away from the crash with non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation is underway.
The FAA says that the single-engine Beechcraft BE35 had three occupants on board. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment and none reportedly had serious injuries.
Officials say the home is unoccupied and that the home was vacant.

Wreckage after plane crash at Georgetown home
The Georgetown Police Department says the small plane with three occupants crashed into the roof of the home in the 500 block of Northwood Drive.
The pilot reportedly reported some kind of engine trouble to air traffic control before the crash.
A small portion of Northwest Boulevard from River Bend to a point about 100 yards north was closed.
The NTSB is taking the lead on the investigation, but the FAA is expected to release a preliminary report as soon as today.
