Police investigate North Austin homicide

Officers arrived at the location and as they were securing witnesses, they located 19-year-old Anthony Hebert with gunshot wounds.

The Austin Police Department is investigating a homicide in North Austin that occurred late Friday night. 

At approximately 10:42 p.m. on June 19, APD responded to a call of shots fired at 4600 Mueller Blvd. When officers arrived on location they located 19-year-old Anthony Herbert who was suffering from gunshot wounds.

EMS responded to the scene to treat Herbert, however, the victim was pronounced dead at 11:28 p.m. 

Police say the incident appears to be isolated and have identified most of the people involved. Detectives are currently in the process of locating and interviewing them. 

The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
