Police investigating deadly East Austin shooting

AUSTIN, Texas - Police are investigating a deadly shooting in East Austin.

Officials say a medical call was received just before 8 p.m. on November 21 from Capitol Wright Distribution on Highway 290 near the SH 130 toll road.

When Austin police officers arrived they found a man in his 40s on the ground with gunshot wounds. 

The man was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.

Police are talking to witnesses and going through surveillance video footage to determine what happened.

There are no suspects in custody at this time and police say there is no threat to the public.
