Round Rock bomb threat 'no danger to the public', police say
ROUND ROCK, Texas - A bomb threat in Round Rock prompted evacuations Tuesday, but police say the object turned out not to be a bomb.
Police said at 8:30 p.m. on April 18, officers responded to a report of a bomb threat at a home in the 2100 block of Jasmine Path and neighboring homes were evacuated as a precaution.
The Austin police bomb squad assisted RRPD and investigators determined the object was not a threat.
Neighbors were allowed to return to their homes around 11:25 p.m.
Police are still trying to determine the origin of the object.
The investigation is ongoing.
