Portion of Eastbound SH 71 to close, impact access to Austin-Bergstrom
AUSTIN, Texas - The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) is closing a portion of eastbound SH 71 in southeast Austin which could impact those headed to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
CTRMA says on the evenings of Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11, temporary complete overnight closures of eastbound SH 71 just east of the US 183 interchange will be implemented. The closure is scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Traffic will be detoured via US 183 and drivers headed to Austin-Bergstrom are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time, but travel delays should be minimal.
Drivers on eastbound SH 71 will have to exit to northbound US 183, exit towards Montopolis Drive and take the north-to-south U-turn at Montopolis Drive, then drive south on US 183 and exit to eastbound SH 71.
Drivers on northbound US 183 will have to pass the exit to eastbound SH 71, exit towards Montopolis Drive, take the north-to-south U-turn at Montopolis Drive, then drive south on US 183 and exit to eastbound SH 71.
