Promposal from straight teen to gay teen goes viral

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - It's prom season so teens all across the U.S. are coming up with fun and unique ways to ask their dates to the big dance. But one promposal has gone viral not because of how it was done but because of who was asking.

Las Vegas teen Anthony Martinez posted on Twitter that he was really hoping a guy would ask him to prom.

His best friend Jacob Lescenski, who is straight, decided he'd ask Anthony. Jacob tells the Huffington Post that he was going to go alone when his original date didn't work out but when he saw his best friend's tweets he came up with an idea. "It was a giant surprise to everyone, especially Anthony!"
