Registered sex offender arrested for October sex assault
LEANDER, Texas - A registered sex offender was arrested Monday for an aggravated sexual assault in Travis County in October.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Conlan Turner, 18, of Leander for first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault in connection with an assault that happened on Oct. 19, 2019 in the 23000 block of Nameless Road in Travis County.
According to the arrest affidavit, Turner sexually assaulted a female victim after they had engaged in a Snapchat conversation for a few days and decided to meet and "hang out."
According to a release, the Travis County Sheriff's Office requested assistance from the task force to find and arrest Turner.
He was found inside his home where he surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
Turner has a criminal history for indecency with a child by exposure and is required to register until 2039, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety Sex Offender Database.
Turner was transported and booked into the Travis County Jail. Bond has been set at $75,000.
