Round Rock Donuts makes list of Top 150 most legendary dessert places in the world

ROUND ROCK, Texas - A Round Rock staple is being named a "legendary" business. 

Round Rock Donuts has made TasteAtlas's top 150 list of the most legendary dessert places in the world for 2024.

Round Rock Donuts was ranked 21st overall, but number four out of the 17 U.S. businesses that made the list, following after New Orleans' Café du Monde (#5), St. Louis's Ted Drewes Frozen Custard (#12), and Savannah's Leopold's Ice Cream (#13).

It is also only one of two Texas dessert places on the list, with La King's Confectionery in Galveston falling at 149 on the list.

Another Central Texas spot, the Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood, also caught TasteAtlas's eye, sitting at number 71 on their list of the top 100 most legendary restaurants.

Texas was also ranked 57th on TasteAtlas's 100 best food regions in the world.
