Round Rock officer won't face charges in Round Rock High School incident

The Round Rock Police Department says that the officer involved in an October incident involving a Round Rock High School student that was caught on video will not face charges.

The October incident showed sophomore Guyasi Hughes being put in a choke hold and taken to the ground by Officer Rigo Valles.

RRPD says that Internal Affairs thoroughly investigated the incident to determine if Officer Valles' actions were reasonable and within policy. It says after reviewing all videos, statements and facts in the case that it was determined there were no violations of RRPD's policies, procedures or training.
