Round Rock PD searches for child luring suspect
ROUND ROCK, Texas—The Round Rock Police Department is investigating a child luring incident that occurred near Hopewell Middle School on Wednesday.
Authorities responded to the Dec. 2 incident around 1:40 p.m. on the 3700 block of Blue Cat Way. RRPD was notified of an unknown subject attempting to lure a child.
According to officials, the suspect approached a minor female child near Pike Path and asked her to help him get some candy out of the trunk of his vehicle. The child did not comply with his request, officials said.
Police describe the suspect as a White male between the ages of 40 to 45 years old,
- approximately 5 feet, 11 inches in height
- a stocky build
- with short, balding dirty-blonde hair and thin eyebrows
The male suspect has a scar on his right cheek, right below the eye, according to officials. He was last seen wearing baggy and faded blue jeans, a dark green long-sleeve shirt, and yellow-type work boots with paint on them.
Officials said the suspect's vehicle is a silver four-door passenger car with tinted windows, a black hood, and factory rims. There is damage to the left rear fender and rear driver's side light.
