ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Police Department responded Monday to reports of a barricaded subject at a home in Northeast Round Rock.
Police say the barricaded subject is an adult male and that his family had called police concerned about his safety.
The man was found unresponsive, but with no signs of physical trauma. He has been transported to the hospital.
RRPD says that there was also a report of rigged explosives at the home and a few dozen homes in the surrounding area were evacuated as a precaution. RRPD later said that all devices were determined to not be a threat.
Sunrise Road had been shut down between Bradley Lane/David Curry Drive and Bowman Road/Tiger Trail while officers were responding to the report in the 2300 block of Vernell Way. The roads have since reopened and residents are allowed back to their homes.
The Austin Police Department's bomb squad, FBI, ATF, and the Williamson County and Central Texas Regional SWAT teams all responded to the incident.
