RRPD: Four students detained at Cedar Ridge HS after reports of possible weapon on campus

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Police Department says that four students were detained after a report of a possible weapon on campus at Cedar Ridge High School.

Round Rock Independent School District officials say the detained students were released and they say that no weapon was found.

Cedar Ridge High School had been placed on lockdown shortly before 10 a.m. due to the reports but FOX 7 Austin has been told that the lockdown has been lifted.

Principal Jiae Kim had sent a note out informing parents during the lockdown that students and staff would remain in classrooms and that no one was allowed to enter or leave the building as the investigation went on.
