Some damage and power outages after storms hit Bastrop

BASTROP, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Residents in Bastrop are dealing with power outages and some damage after storms hit the area.

Downed trees were spotted along Highway 95 near Chestnut Street and residents tell FOX 7 Austin that it's a similar scene in other areas  of town.

Officials say that approximately 75% of the town is without power. They say that power is expected to be fully restored to all residents by around 9 a.m.
