5 acts of violence within 24 hours in Austin

It has been a violent 24 hours in Austin. Two people are dead, three others were hospitalized and police are looking for multiple suspects.

The Austin Police Department says one man is dead after a shooting in South Austin.

Police said on August 10, around 9:08 p.m., officers responded to a call regarding a shooting in the 2100 block of E Oltorf St. 

When officers arrived on scene, they found a victim, 27-year-old Marvin Flint, with gunshot wounds. Flint was taken to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Flint had been walking along Oltorf St when someone approached him and shot him. The investigation shows Flint knew the person that shot him, and he was targeted. 

Detectives are still trying to locate a suspect.
