Suspicious package in Round Rock cleared
ROUND ROCK, Texas - Officers with the Round Rock Police Department have determined that a suspicious package is not a threat to the public. An unattended backpack with a suspicious note had been left near the Woodglen Hike and Bike Trail and was discovered Tuesday morning.
The suspicious package was found in the park in the 2600 block of Henley Drive, according to police. The Austin Police Department Bomb Squad had been called to assist and determined that the unattended backpack contained tools and was not a threat to the public.
Police have cleared the scene.
