Teen girl shot, killed by 14-year-old boy in Driftwood: HCSO
DRIFTWOOD, Texas - A teen girl was killed by a 14-year-old boy in Driftwood, the sheriff's office said.
What happened?
The backstory:
According to the Hays County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday, Jan. 28, around 4 p.m., deputies responded to a call reporting suspicious circumstances at a home on Canna Lily Circle in Driftwood.
When deputies arrived, they discovered a 14-year-old boy had shot and killed a teen girl. She died from her injuries.
HCSO said both teens lived in the home.
The boy was taken into custody and taken to the Hays County Juvenile Detention
Center.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
On Jan. 29, the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and has ruled the manner of death a homicide.
