Two teens were arrested in connection to a party shooting in Kyle, police said.

Kyle police said on Nov. 26, around 12:05 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Old Stagecoach Rd. for reports of shots fired. A 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg.

When officers arrived, they weren't able to find the shooter initially.

Detectives and investigators conducted a thorough investigation of the scene, which led to them later identifying the suspects.

On Nov. 27, officers responded to an unrelated call for deadly conduct. Ballistic evidence matched the crime scene at the party.

Documented gang member 18-year-old Christian Jeffery, of Kyle, and a 17-year-old boy, who was a minor at the time of the shooting, are facing charges of two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and with other charges.

"It is through the diligent police work of Kyle police officers, detectives, and forensic investigators that the connection between these two incidents was established," said Dr. Jeff Barnett, Kyle Police Chief.
