AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas School for the Deaf is hosting the country's first robotics competition featuring all deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
The VEX IQ Robotics Competition at the Austin campus began Friday and ends Saturday.
There are 13 teams of middle school students from ten states, including Texas.
Students and educators will be exploring avenues and ideas that stress problem-solving and student engagement in robotics.
The competition is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Texas School for the Deaf's gym on South Congress.
