Third person arrested for San Marcos murder

A third person will be charged for the murder of 23-year-old Demarcus Trey Allen at the Village on Telluride apartment complex in San Marcos on Wednesday, June 5.

21-year-old Chelsy Alyce Mistretta was arrested in Bryan after investigators discovered she was in the vehicle with Lapear Willrich and Jon Jervis when they fled the scene the day of the murder.

23-year-old Jon Hunter Jervis and 25-year-old Lapear O'Neal Willrich are also both charged with Capital Murder, according to the San Marcos Police Department. Police officers were able to identify the two offenders because of a video camera mounted inside the apartment of the crime scene.

According to police, officers were called to The Village on Telluride apartment complex in the 300 block of Telluride around 7:10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5. A resident had reported finding a loose dog. After following the dog to an apartment, the resident found the front door had been kicked and called police.

Officers with the San Marcos Police Department discovered the body of Demarcus Trey Allen, 23, inside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, detectives are awaiting the extradition of Mistretta back to Hays County.
