Trial underway for man accused of attacking seven women in Austin

Tuesday marked the beginning of the trial for 27-year-old Mexican national, Nicodemo Coria-Gonzalez. Police say Coria-Gonzalez attacked seven women between December of 2015 to July 2016.    

In the incidents, authorities say one woman was doused in gasoline and another was sexually assaulted while being threatened with a knife.

At the hearing, one of the alleged victims who claimed she was beaten, testified along with a nurse who attended her.

Coria-Gonzalez has been deported five times for past criminal convictions.    

His trial will pick up again Wednesday morning at 9.
