UPDATE: TCSO has identified both of the deceased as 26-year-old Omar Garcia and 23-year-old Nancy Garcia. Although the decedents share the same last name, they were not married. They were in a relationship with each other and Omar had recently been arrested for Assault/Family Violence.

Nancy was the victim in that incident.

The address where they were found is the couple’s residence. Evidence at the scene points to Murder/Suicide committed by Omar. There appears to be no connection between this incident and the discovery of the body of Johnny Cardenas nearby on July 11, 2018.

The sheriff's office is investigating the deaths of two people in southeast Travis County. They were found Friday morning near Von Quintus Road with gunshot wounds.

This is the same street where another body was found in July.

This is still the early stages of the investigation so not many details are being released.

The Travis County Sheriff’s office are stressing the public is not in any danger.

Kristen Dark with the Travis co sheriff’s office says they got a call around 7 Friday morning.  "(It was) from a motorist that was driving by and noticed a male laying on the ground," said Dark. Crews arrived to the area of Von Quintus and Sunflower drive. While on scene, sheriff deputies found more than just someone lying on the ground. "We discovered 2 bodies, a male and a female, both in their 20s," said Dark. Both had gunshot wounds. "We are working to determine exactly what happened but evidence we collected thus far indicates that our decedents are known to each other and we have no reason to believe the public is in any danger," said Dark.

This isn't the first time a passing by motorists found a body on Von Quintus. In July officials found the body of 31-year-old Johnny Cardenas of Austin in this area.

A search warrant, released this week, shows Cardenas was found wrapped in a blanket with a bag over his head. He also had gunshot wounds. "Our investigation is underway. We're in the very early stages, it's too early to connect it to anything and we are not ruling anything out either," said Dark

In Friday’s incident, it's not clear how long the bodies have been there.

Crews spent the day searching nearby fields for evidence.
