Two Killeen ISD graduates named 2020 Outstanding Career and Technical Education Students

Two Killeen ISD Career Center graduates have received Congressional recognition.

Chyanne Hollingsworth of Harker Heights High School and Jazmine Allen of Killeen High School have both been named Outstanding Career and Technical Education Students for 2020, according to US Rep John Carter (TX-31).

Carter also named Eliza Rendon of East View High School, Julian Murillo of Round Rock High School, Joshua Bledsoe of Belton High School and Jesus Castillo of Florence High School as recipients of the honor.

Hollingsworth completed the Automotive Technology program and took courses in agriculture.

Allen completed the Cosmetology program and also courses in agriculture.

Jazmine Allen (Killeen ISD)

This marks the fourth year Carter named recipients of the Congressional Achievement Award for Outstanding Career and Technical Education Students.

To earn the honor, the six students received a nomination from an educator and submitted a resume, recommendation letters and photo testimony of student work in CTE programs.
