Two people injured in 6th Street shooting

Two people were injured in a shooting in downtown Austin early this morning. 

First responders with Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the 300 block of East 6th Street, near San Jacinto Boulevard, shortly after 1 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1 for reports of a shooting.

When ATCEMS arrived at the scene, they found a 19-year-old who had been shot in his thigh and another  who was shot in the arm. 

Both were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening.
