TILMON, Texas - The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers are investigating a double homicide. Two males were shot and killed while driving a utility vehicle, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office.
One was an 18-year-old, the other was a juvenile.
According to the sheriff's office, 911 dispatch received a call reporting that two subjects were "down" in the approximate area of the 4400 block of Tenny Creek Road, near Tilmon. The call came in on Tuesday, June 9 around 6:08 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they found two people dead.
Officials have identified one of the victims as 18-year-old Klayton Manning from Luling. The other victim has only been identified as a juvenile male relative.
Both were identified on scene and family members have been notified.
They say a Polaris side-by-side utility vehicle was on scene and that it appears that the victims had been driving down the roadway when they encountered the shooter or shooters.
