Uncle of Kyle student killed in hit and run wants justice

The Kyle community is dealing with the loss of two high school students.  They died over Christmas break in unrelated incidents.

Lehman High School freshman Joshua Marquez and sophomore Michael Mince died over Christmas break.  A Facebook post from Hays Consolidated ISD informed parents and students that Marquez passed on Christmas Eve.  No details were given about how.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 15-year-old Mince was hit by a Dodge pickup while walking from a Valero gas station on FM 2001 near Kyle.  Witnesses told law enforcement the driver slowed down then drove away.  Mince died at the scene.  Fox 7 spoke with his uncle Jorge Mince by phone.

"We want the guy to turn himself in.  I want to tell him he's a coward you know...there's no excuse for that.  You hit something...you know you hit something and you continue to run, you're a coward.  All I can say is I hope the cops find him before I do," Mince said.

Visitation for Marquez is this evening in Kyle.  Mince's uncle says a balloon release is being planned for him on Friday.  DPS says if you know who is responsible for the hit and run that killed Mince, call 911.  Again it will be a Dodge pickup with noticeable damage.
