UT Austin Dell Medical School holds donation drive for protective gear
AUSTIN, Texas - The Dell Medical School at UT Austin is teaming up with Austin Public Health to support the community's clinical providers by holding a donation drive for protective gear.
"In anticipation of supply chain challenge, it is expected that these supplies will be critically needed in the front line health care workers treating a surge of COVID-19 patients in the coming weeks. Austin Public Health will lead the distribution of donated supplies based on needs," a press release from the medical center said.

Austinites are encouraged to donate the following supplies:
- N-95 respirator masks and other face masks Surgical masks Masks used in industrial field such as painters and carpenters
- Surgical masks
- Masks used in industrial field such as painters and carpenters
- Medical or disposable gloves
- Face Sheilds
- Thermometers
The medical center says that original and unopened items are preferred but not required, however, they ask that you do not donate used gloves or masks.
The drive will end on Sunday at 5 p.m. and supplies can be dropped off at the following Bicycle Sport Shop locations:

- 9900 W Palmer Lane, Austin TX 78717
- 10947 Research Blvd, Austin TX 78759
