UT Austin Stop the Bleed chapter to hold free training sessions
AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Texas at Austin chapter of Stop the Bleed will be hosting free training sessions for anyone wanting to learn how to help in a bleeding emergency.
Six one-hour classes will be held twice a month from October until December. The classes will help give knowledge and experience in basic bleeding control techniques such as direct pressure, tourniquets and packing wounds.

- Wednesday, October 30: 6:30-7:30 p.m., University Teaching Center (UTC) 1.144
- Thursday, November 7th: 6:30-7:30 p.m., University Teaching Center (UTC) 1.144
- Thursday, November 14th: 4-5 p.m., Dell Medical School, Health Learning Building (HLB) 1.111
- December 4th: 6:30-7:30 p.m., University Teaching Center (UTC) 1.144
- December 12th: 4:30-5:30 p.m., Dell Medical School, Health Learning Building (HLB) 1.111
Dell Medical School sponsors the UT Austin chapter of Stop the Bleed.
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign launched in October 2015 by the White House to "cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives."
