AUSTIN, Texas - Police arrested a homeless woman earlier in the week who confessed to stabbing five people in Downtown Austin, and according to UT Police Chief David Carter, two of the victims were UT students.
In a tweet sent by Carter, the Chief was alerted by a UT Professor that a second student had come forward saying they have been attacked by the assailant.

UT police have since notified APD and have reached out to the student for follow up care.
The announcement has raised responses from public figures.
Gov. Abbott responded to Carter's tweet by saying that he has since reached out to UT leaders with expectations to increase the safety for students within the next month.
SafeHorns, a private collation focused on the safety of UT Students also spoke out, urging students to contact police if they are assaulted.
