Victim identified in possible road rage incident
Austin police have identified the man killed in a Northeast Austin parking lot yesterday afternoon.
It was 48-year-old Alfred A. Lockett. He lives in Killeen but works in Austin, police say.
Witnesses Tuesday report seeing a teal Infiniti following a red Toyota. Both drivers were speeding on Dessau Road.
The red Toyota-which is the suspect, pulled into the CVS, and then the Infiniti, which was Lockett.
This is when police say the Toyota driver got out, and shot Lockett before driving off.
They found the Toyota off Yager Lane, but the suspect is still on the loose.
“We believe there was an accident that first started this. There was a collision between the vehicles. We don't know at which point that collision occurred. But we do believe the two vehicles came in contact with each other,” said Lt. Jason Staniszewski, with APD.
All police are giving with suspect description is a White or Hispanic man. 5’10, thin build, short brown hair.
They think he is in his late 20's to 30's. If you know anything call police at 512-477-3588
