FOX 7 Austin is showing never before seen evidence from outside of the courtroom in the Kaitlin Armstrong murder trial. In part two of this series, we show you the moment pro-cyclist Colin Strickland found out about the murder of Anna Moriah Wilson. She was killed by Strickland's girlfriend, Kaitlin Armstrong, in East Austin back in 2022.

FOX 7 has obtained evidence never before seen outside of the courtroom. It’s the moment pro-cyclist, Colin Strickland, heard about the murder of Anna Moriah Wilson. She was killed by Strickland’s girlfriend, Kaitlin Armstrong, in East Austin back in 2022.

On police body camera footage, Strickland seems stunned.

On May 11, 2022, Wilson and Strickland texted back and forth about meeting up. Wilson said, "Do you have plans tonight?"

Wilson was in town for a race nearby. Strickland lived in South Austin.

Strickland replied, "Want to go swimming? Maybe swimming and a beverage?"

Wilson responded, "Sounds great."

Kaitlin Armstrong: Never before seen evidence from murder trial

FOX 7 has obtained evidence from the Kaitlin Armstrong murder trial. It has never been seen outside the courtroom.

Once Wilson finished with her ride that afternoon, Strickland picked her up from her friend’s house where she was staying. 

They rode on his motorcycle to the Deep Eddy Pool. They are then seen on surveillance footage eating at Pool Burger, Strickland told investigators this wasn’t a date, they were only friends, though they did have a brief romantic relationship in the past.

Strickland was currently dating Armstrong, a realtor and yoga instructor. She has confronted Strickland about communicating with other women before, including Wilson.

Armstrong texting Strickland, "I know you know better than to show up at meteor with that girl."

Back in 2021, Armstrong even called Wilson, warning her to back off.

Colin texting Armstrong, "Did you call Mo?"

Strickland said he didn’t tell Armstrong about the plans he had with Wilson that day and made up an alibi.

That evening, Strickland dropped Wilson off at her friend’s house. He got home, tried to get a hold of Armstrong, but couldn’t, so he started prepping his bike for the upcoming race. He said Armstrong eventually came home in her black Jeep and everything seemed normal. 

The next day, Armstrong was brought in for questioning.
