It doesn't snow too often around Central Texas so when it does it's quite newsworthy. Good Day Austin anchor Dave Froehlich and meteorologist Zack Shields talk about one of those times.

It was a rare sight on February 23, 2010 when snow fell across Central Texas and overall a lot of fun was had by kids and adults as many went sledding and built snowmen.

San Saba got about four inches while Burnet saw two and half. About three inches fell in Georgetown almost four inches fell in Florence. Leander and Cedar Park also some snow.

One of the more memorable videos captured on that day was one of a Colorado man who recently had moved to Austin and took the opportunity to put on his skis and try out the slopes at the Capitol.
