WCSO: Man approached children, asked them to go with him for "music video"

AUSTIN, Texas - The Williamson County Sheriff's Office has warned the public about suspicious activity that happened at the Hendrix Apartments in Austin. 

According to police, a mother observed a man approach her children in a black sedan. He parked the car and started speaking to the children. The children did not engage. 

The children came home and told her that the man "asked if they wanted to go with him and be in a music video." 

The man is described as a black male with dreadlocks. He never got out of the car. 

Police are reminding parents to teach their children about "stranger danger."
