WCSO: Man shot in deputy-involved shooting in Liberty Hill
LIBERTY HILL, Texas - A suspect was injured in a deputy-involved shooting in a Saratoga Springs neighborhood north of Liberty Hill, says the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.
WCSO shared on Twitter that the preliminary investigation shows the suspect attacked a detective, choking and biting him on the hand, while he was trying to serve a warrant for assault-family violence with strangulation in the 108 block of Augusta Place around 3:20 p.m.

The suspect was shot by the detective and transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The detective was also transported to the hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Sheriff Robert Chody said via Twitter that he was released from the hospital.

The area around the scene is completely blocked off at this time as part of the investigation into the shooting and it is unclear when the area will reopen. WCSO says there are no other suspects and there is no threat to the public.
