WilCo adjusts controversial transportation plan

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas - Williamson County Commissioners are re-adjusting the alignment of a controversial road near Walburg.

This comes after FOX 7 Austin reported multiple concerns from residents about how the route could damage farmland and a nearby Greenbelt.

The red line was the former alignment, and the green line will replace it

Arterial K would connect SH 195 to I-35. This is all a part of the county's long-range transportation plan.

As of now, there is no funding for the project. A developer would have to come along to trigger construction.

The county said it took into consideration all the concerns from residents and hopes this will become middle ground everyone can agree on.
