UPDATE: The Olympia Police Department has confirmed the young boy's injuries were from a fall and not from an assault. The Williamson County Constable's Office still plans to give the young boy get well cards and gifts from their department, but they plan to give any other donations (monetary or small gifts) to Brown Santa. The office also says the public can pick up any donations they dropped off.

When Williamson County Chief Deputy Mike Pendley saw Carter English's story online he had to share it with his department. “I have a special needs son, 6-years-old and I couldn’t imagine him having to go through that,” Pendley said.
The Olympia Police Department in Washington state initially reported English, who is six-years-old and autistic, was beaten up by seven children about the same age for standing up for a friend who was being bullied.
Within the first couple days of a GoFundMe set up, his family surpassed their initial goal of raising $5,000 dollars towards medical expenses to more than $45,000 dollars.
The WilCo department is hoping to show support for English in other ways by collecting gifts and cards and shipping it to him. Williamson County Constable of Precinct 1 Vinnie Cherrone said his office has gathered some items of their own, coins, cards and a uniform top.
They are also working with the Liberty Hill Police Department to collect items. “We are just trying to encourage him to stay strong and that there are people out here that are going to support him.”
People can drop off items at 1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd #105 Round Rock, TX 78664 and the constable’s will ship English his gifts and pay for it out of their own pockets.
