Williamson County reopens COVID-19 online testing portal

Willaimson County officials and Family Emergency Rooms have announced that they have reopened testing for COVID-19 and have started accepting applications for county residents to be tested. 

Originally, Willaimson County temporarily removed the online testing portal from its website on May 20 due to a backlog of testing requests. According to the county, those tests have been scheduled and Family Emergency Room is once again ready to accommodate new appointments.

County officials say that the partnership between Williamson County and Family Emergency Room has been overwhelmingly successful," which originally led to the temporary shutdown. There has been a total of 1,455 tests performed since testing had begun, with 19 individuals testing positive for COVID-19. 

Concerning testing, the county says priority will be given to those who are showing symptoms. However, those who are asymptotic but have been exposed to COVID-19 can still request a test but must wait until a testing time is available.
