Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for much of Central Texas

AUSTIN, Texas - The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of the Edwards Plateau, Hill Country and Central Texas and it will remain in effect until 10am this Saturday.

There will be light freezing rain and freezing drizzle leading to ice accumulation mainly on bridges, overpasses and less traveled roadways and other elevated surfaces.

Take precaution, a Winter Weather Advisory means that freezing rain, sleet or possibly snow will cause travel difficulties. Be Prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
