AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A SWAT standoff in North Austin ended with an arrest on Tuesday.
According to the Austin Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Walnut Park Crossing around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 for a stabbing relating to family violence. When officers arrived on scene, they found a male victim and a woman, who was in possession of a knife, had barricaded herself inside the home.
The APD SWAT team was called in to assist police officers.
After a few hours, the female suspect surrendered herself to authorities.
It is not clear at this time what led up to the stabbing.
The victim's condition is also unknown at this time, as well as his relationship to the suspect.
The female suspect is being charged with aggravated assault, family violence.
