Woman arrested for throwing boiling water on boyfriend, hitting him with pot
AUSTIN, Texas - An Austin woman was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, after she threw boiling hot water on her boyfriend while he was sleeping.
According to police, officers were dispatched to Dell Seton Medical Center around 6 a.m. on Sunday, February 23 after a victim came in with second-degree burns over ten percent of his body. The victim told police that he was asleep in his apartment in North Austin when 33-year-old Ashley Amber Hill, his girlfriend of two years and the mother of his child, threw boiling water on him out of a cooking pot.
The victim said Hill was screaming at him about other women and hit him several times in the head with the pot. Hill also reportedly had a knife in her hand and was shouting that she was going to stab him. Hill pushed the victim out of the house by poking him in the back and stomach area with the knife.
The victim told police officers that he feared for his life since Hill had already thrown boiling water on him.
The victim drove his car to a nearby 7 Eleven gas station and called 911.

According to doctors at Dell Seton Medical Center, the victim has second-degree burns over ten percent of his body. Doctors also told police officers that the victim would need to have surgery to get his wounds scrubbed.
Bail has been set at $50,000 for Ashley Amber Hill.
