Woman cut by razor blade found in shopping cart handle
AUSTIN, Texas - A razor blade has been found in the handle of a Walmart shopping cart in Cedar Park, according to the Cedar Park Police Department.
At approximately 11 AM on Wednesday morning, Cedar Park Police were called to assist the Cedar Park Fire Department at the Walmart on 201 Walton Way.
While responding to a medical call, firefighters found a razorblade stuck underneath the plastic of the shopping cart handle. A woman had received multiple cuts from the blade and was transported to the hospital.
According to police, the incident is under investigation to determine whether the razor blade was placed intentionally or if it was a possible accident.
Walmart is working with law enforcement to check the rest of the shopping carts.
