Woman dies after crash in Northwest Austin

AUSTIN, Texas - An investigation is underway after a woman dies after a crash in Northwest Austin.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. near the 7100 block of Spicewood Springs in Northwest Austin near St. Edward's Park past 360.

Austin-Travis County EMS responded to single-vehicle rollover crash and found two women who had been thrown from the vehicle.

The driver was taken to a hospital in Round Rock with critical injuries while the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details about the crash or the identities of the victims has been released at this time.
