Woman dies after striking IH-35 median barrier
AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department has released information on the first fatal crash in Austin of the year.
At approximately 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, Mary Gonzales-Limas was traveling southbound in the 3000-3500 block of S. IH-35. For unknown reasons her vehicle, a 2007 grey Toyota Camry, left its lane of travel and struck a concrete barrier separating the southbound and northbound lanes.
Gonzales-Limas was transported to St. David's South Austin Hospital where she later passed away. She was 73-years-old.
