Woman living in sanctuary in Austin could face up to ten years in prison, says ICE

Hilda Ramirez is here in Austin with her son Ivan and is now being threatened with civil fines and prison time.

As the year comes to an end, seven women continue to live in sanctuary in the US, not knowing where they may be in 2020.

One woman, Hilda Ramirez, is here in Austin and received a hefty fine from ICE, charging her a civil penalty of nearly $800 a day for being in the country illegally.
