AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A woman was sexually assaulted after a man forced himself into her apartment on Saturday, according to the Austin Police Department.
APD is investigating the assault, which occurred in the 1000 block of Clayton Lane. Police say the victim was in her apartment when she responded to a person knocking on her door around 2:30 a.m. The suspect then forced his way inside and sexually assaulted the victim before leaving the scene, according to APD.
Police describe the suspect as a light skinned, possibly Hispanic man. He is between 30 and 40 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches and slim. The suspect reportedly has brown hair, a goatee and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a beanie hat, green thermal long sleeve shirt and sweat pants.
